Happy New Year! In with the new and out with the old! The beginning of the year is always an exciting time in the design + event world. We love to see all the new trends that will be showcased throughout the year. What oldies will make a comeback? What new and innovative ideas will make a debut?  Below are our picks for the 2014 Event Trends.

Gold has always been a design staple but this year we will be seeing a lot more of this classic and timeless color. It is being used everywhere from furniture to goldware (one of our favorites!).  As Elle Decor best described it as “gleaming, glittering and totally glamorous, this precious color adds sparkle to any setting”.

Radiant Orchid

Of course we had to feature this year’s Pantone color winner, but what we are most thrilled about is all the exotic blossoms that will be used  to exhibit this beautiful color. Everything from orchids to alliums, the design possibilities are endless.  Did we mention is it our company’s color as well, no wonder it’s our favorite pick!

With smartphones, ipads and tablets taking over it is no brainer technology has and is becoming a must at events. Whether social or corporate you will see more sharing of event details via social feeds. Some of the best traction events will receive are from the tidbits or fun interactive activities being offered. With information being shared in matter of seconds there is no better way for both social media and viral marketing to be key at functions.
